It's interesting that they're using an internal mechanical collet-based locking system with a low-pressure air actuated return spring, which provides an ample return speed when raising the saddle to a higher position.

what a stupid waste of time and money on a feature, why not add low and high speed compression while they're at it?
why would you pay extra money for having a feature that controls how fast your saddle rises? the basic concept is sound, and 100mm is great adjustability but for feck's sake, can they not leave it at the basics?

The Hite Rite was just ahead of its time.....it hit the market about 20 years ago !

You really need yer modern disc'd up 6 inch all mountain bike to really appreciate the value of this approach. Hopefully there'll be enough demand to bring a reliable, reasonably priced implementation to the market as most of what is out there at the moment is over priced and/or temperamental.
