Ladies Spin Wednesday 6th of May

hi all
sorry about my no show last week but it couldn't be helped.
We're off to the leadmines once again; 7pm start time, same formant as before.

We're planning to change things a bit next week so make sure you get out this week to keep your momentum up. The only way to get better at mountain biking is to keep doing it!!

see you all tomorrow
Shona
Thanks Silvia-nice shorts and the ones I have are fallin apart. Any ideas of sizing like small, xsmall??

Also anyone that can recommend some decent knee/shin guards as the ones I got are too big since they are boy ones.

Cheers

Fiona
Fiona i'll bring mine along tonight for you to try out, they're the same as sylvias and she knows about this stuff
there's nothing like trying before you buy!
oh and i've 2 pairs of those shorts and they're great, we can compare waists later!
Thanks Shona :) This really is turning into a 'ladies' spin trying on clothes and all :) I defo need some new shorts though I wear them all year round on the bike and i think you can nearly see through them they've been worn so much!

See you later
Me and Shona both have these: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=34199. I wear the XS and they are very comfy and have great protection. I wear them all the time on the bike, for both DH, DJ and XC and they never slip down my legs. If you like you can try on my set tonight.

I think Orla or Clodagh have the Sombrio shorts so they can tell you a bit better about the sizing as I know every brand has fluctuating sizing. If they don't fit, CRC let you send everything back and are great on returns. Other good brands for shorts that I have found are Fox, Kona, IXS, Loeka, RaceFace and Altura. If you wanted to get a cheapo set I got these ones: http://www.stif.co.uk/gear/select_op...6420&store=mtb The sizing was small on them so I would get a size up than normal.

If you have a bit of time to waste on the net (as I always do), this thread has great links to some female-specific bike and clothing manufacturers: http://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listco...threadid=53083

Hi Girls!
Thanks to everyone for organising these spins I am really enjoying them. Sorry for being late last week and holding everyone up, i'll be hopefully avoiding the traffic and buses next week and arriving in Shona-time! which i am guessing translates as early :-) looking forward to it hope the sunny wednesday evening run keeps up!

Shona I will PM you my number so we can organise for next week. Thanks!

Fair play to Shona,Carol and Silvia for running these female orientated spins and hats off to the ladies who have been attending them. The 3 Girls have had several years now of MTB EPIC style biking and while its not for the fainthearted their reports of all you girls has been outstanding.
We have tried this several times before with varied success but we as a Club believe theres a huge potential in ladies out there so well done to all of you,
Richie
PS they get the being early from me, as i am obsessive about it !!! so blame me, not them!!
