yeah just saw that today. it's very close to Paradise Lost which is the best climb to bring beginners on and Mahjong was one of my favourite climbs!!!

yeah, its like a dream come true !!! about time the kip was re arranged !! all them routes were polished to **** anyway !!

Calvin and terry o'Neill apparently got the DLRCOCO guys in a headlock..I fell off the top of Mahjong drunk one time and hit the deck..my belayer who was also drunk was asleep in the brambles at the bottom, it was about 10.00am in the morning as I recall after a long nights session in Dalkey !!

but if the council rearranged all the routes, it would be like pioneering all over again !! they could be doing us a favour !! myself, Paul o Sullivan and Tony Burke were going to dynamite all the routes we did in the 70's and early 80's so nobody else could do them after !!
we couldn't get dynamite anywhere for love nor money!!

Jesus - do you remember tiptoeing across the Spailpin ramp for the 1st time with only a wobby number 1 for pro in a flared crack. Sure it was only a 2 meter fall but it was scary !

i do indeed..i fell off that feckin thing 3 times in a row one night trying to get to the borehole in front of a load of beginners on Paradise lost with Nivek breaking his bollocks laughing at me each time !!
the good thing about the whole business was they way it was handled really well by the MCI and the Council..so, so what if there was a few chunks taken out of Gardeners joy and levitation at the bottom..now if someone would just drop some semtex down Yellow Line Rider, my nightmares would stop !!
No way! I haven't been in Dalkey in a few weeks. I saw them out ripping up a load of gorse when I was there last and was wondering what on earth they were at! What routes did the wreck?? Did they even speak with the MCI before doing this???
Luckily they've gotten them to halt works for the moment!! I know let's just buldoze the whole frikkin quarry to make it 'safe' cause you might just fall and scratch your knee!!
