I've been doing this since the dawn of the sport, Organising Clubs , bringing people in to the sport, running events..when we began..there was no Downhill ( I ran the first DH race on the Sugarloaf of all places in 1992 ) no Freeride ..just XC ..
and from where I stand XC is Riding your bike up the steepest hardest things you can without dabbing and riding down the steepest hardest **** without dabbing or falling off !!
I love XC racing, in particular EPIC XC racing..
look at it...its ****ing savage..the climbs make you puke and the downhills make you come in your pantses!!
What more do you want..
45 minutes of pure savagery..
2 hours of craic in the pub..
