Am working up in Carlow at the moment and looking for nearby trails.
Does anyone know of anything half decent close to Carlow, or do I have to travel out to Wicklow etc?
There's our DH NPS track in Glen of Immal, its 45mins from Carlow just outside Baltinglass, the race is in a few weeks and there'll be load of riders out ther over the next while specifically this wednesday evening and this sunday to ge the track finished and ridden in,
I'm in carlow, PM me if you wanna head out, Crowbar you too.
The Glen of Imaal track can be ridden and enjoyed on any kind of MTB. A DH rig would be preferable for hitting some of the sections and for speed, but any bike will do for having the craic.
I'm in Carlow town and the only trails near are Mt Leinster or a small track near Stradbally, Mt Leinster is probably the best to try unless you want to travel to wicklow etc.
Give David Furlong a shout from 795racing, he's a sound bloke and i'm sure he'd be glad to show you around. I'm also building a DH track up there at the mo so if your into that your more than welcome to come and join in.

Yeah Carlow is right next to Wicklow, you just have to cross this 50 mile gap to get to it,( each way) 60 if your going to Djouce 3 rock
The amount of money i spent on petrol over the last year frightens me.
