Marion..unless i get one for nothing..then I'll just strip the bits off it and throw the rest in the sea !!
I thought you Brazilians were smart people !! with your sexy ladymen and your big jungles full of drugs !!
Touchy, you need to add more Blue Nun. TNT might be more appropriate then.
My 29er experience so far is that they are good on the technical flat and very good on the technical uphill, they are not so good going down and my one is prone to chucking me over the bars. If your around 6ft tall you should try one, you might like them. I don't think they will replace the mainstream 26" bikes. Anyway, it's all about the pilot not the bike and to be really honest it's just another mountainbike. I have the same crap lap times on 26" and 29".
I'm 6' 7"

I rode one

They don't go up very well

They don't go downhill very well

They DO go along fire roads VERY well

I saw a lot of people using them in the BC Bike Race but I also saw a lot of people that couldn't ride up a kerb in that same race....
i don't agree with them because I come from an era when mountainbikes had to have 26" to be mountainbikes..I liked that distinction between it and a roadbike..it was a simple distinction..
I'm sure a deadly rider would be deadly regardless..and if we had started on 29'ers then I would feel the same way, i've been tied in to this sport snce the very beginning, I've earned the right to hate stuff, just because..
I don't know anything about it going up or down stuff...
I don't really care..
same for full suss xc bikes..I don't like them either, just because I don't have to..
same with DH bikes with more than 6" of travel on the rear..or helmets with no peaks..
or sleeves or long socks or shoes with laces !!
Its a spiritual thing..
