Can anyone help me with this, for the race this weekend I'm looking for a petrol/diesel power washer or water pump that can be run off a river as a bike wash. Doesn't need to run big pressure once it can be feed off the river. Anyone any ideas or contacts?
You would need a huge Generator to power a jetwash, the motors in those things are like 2000watts so you would need a gen of about 4-6000watts to drive it, it's not the running wattage it's the start up drain, the motor can take up to 3 times the running power just to get started.
Small generator and mains powered washer might be an alternative?

Flow had a great set up at last years Nationals, some guy brought along a load of water tanks and a mobile washer, i am sure Damo Duggan could get you the contact details for who came along.
