Who alls heading up to this?

I'm going up on Sqaturday with Carol to do the 27k route..but i won't be acknowleging Supergay..anybody else going ..?

I'm planning on going

great..you'll be doing the big one though..so I'll see you at the Start an the Finish..the weather is to be deadly

I'll most likely be heading up too, fingers crossed for the weather..

I'll try and get up, and ride like a complete goober (been too long away from the MTBs)

great race today, Carol did the 27k which she won the sports ladies, Eoin keith got 2nd Vet in the 54k..
Oisin won the experts..great amazing weather.
I just rode around the course with Carol and it was brilliant. Very enjoyable, but some serious road climbs up there, well done to the McCabes and Aidan McDonald for a great race..
and well done to everybody who entered.great representation from EPIC, too

Yay! Well done Carol!!!!!!

We started off after everybody as we were only taking it as a spin, but after we caught up with a whole heap of bodies in the first bit of singletrack..we got ahead of a good few riders..
eventually we got to where we had to turn off for the short course and we had caught loads more.
we just kept going and going until we caught these 4 boys and they were struggling a bit and so we let them go as we wanted to ride up the back of Slieve foy, rather than walk it..
It was only when we got to the Yacht club that I realised they were the first 4 lads in the 27k Sports mens..
Great day out, the marking was a little bit askew, but that only adds to the craic.A great old skool spin with some people taking 6 hours to finish the 54k..
Jessu though, it went up from the town all the way to the windy gap..up that horrendous fireroad through carlingford forest and on up to the windy gap on a road you can't believe..but the singletrack across Skull Alley is deadly..
we'll have to go up just for a spin..

Great day today. Trails were super. Its great to cover 50K, the majority of it singletrack, and never repeat a blade of grass. Very weel organised. I had no problems with the markers... they were all crystal clear, once you were looking for them!! The after race food was good, and the after race craic was great, as ever when the club president is entertaining the guests :)

There was an excellent EPIC representation alright... we might have had the most numbers there. Tim came in to the finish like a punch-drunk boxer, very funny... but the gatoraid seemed to bring him back to life. And there was the savage from Cork who did it on a singlespeed, and finished in the top 10... very impressive, not that I'd want to do it. But jaysus... there's some competition in the Vets this year. I had an almighty battle all day long with Johhny McCabe, and only dropped him on the last climb.

Fair play Eoin, johnny mcCabe is a savage.
I'm going to organise a Sunday spin up there and even do the 27k loop. Its a great spot, only about 1.5 hours from Dublin Southside.
No walker or envirogay issues..just raw old school Mtbing..
And Carlingford is a very nice little town..

That was pure savage alright, most of the trails on the 54k loop were amazing.
Lesson learned : Dont follow Ross - He will get you lost.Myslef and Tim founnd out the hard way around 10minutes in.

Roadies don't do directions....... where was the pace car???
