Hi folks, for your information , there will be 2 technical zones in the XC Nationals on Sunday.
One will be in the Finish area field
The other will be on the fireroad near Gran canaria, this one will have a marshall. But it will mainly be a dump for bottles and spares,

Hey, i'm hoping to participate in this race on the weekend,
it'll be my first xc race (unless you count the blast as an xc race?)
and was just wondering what a "technical zone" is?
Apologies for my ignorance about xc racing.
i'll be in the sport category and not sure what to expect,
just hoping for a fun time!

the technical feed Zones are mainly for the Senior ( really serious racers !!) for them to leave their spare wheels, bottles , powerbars, etc, its a support thing.
If you are riding sports just have the craic, single out another rider to race and give it socks..
this course is fierce..its very technical in spots and some of the climbs are savage, but relatively short.
for those of you who worry about these things..2.3" tyres are the order of the day, especially on the front !

i was worried that i would have to bring a laptop for some section of the course!
and i'm not too good with that kind of technical thing!
i'd say i'll be carrying all my spares (read: snickers and multitool!) in my pocket!
did i hear 2 laps for sports? any idea of lap times?
(for us mortals, not savages).

but it's register online and then pay on the saturday for the race and day-licence?
