Well i'm just back from the most recent accident in Djouce..
Carol ffell off Benchcut and as it turned out, dislocated her shoulder..
I knew there was something up when Shona rang me at 8.05 !!
She told me Carol had an accident but the Ambulance was on the way..but after 10 minues I said feck that and headed up...
The Ambulance couldn't get under the barrier, none of the Farmers could be found..
So I brought the 2 Ambulance men down the Fireroad as I had the key to the inner gate in the back of the Pug..
then I drove them through the bushes up to the bottom of Benchcut !!
When we got to CArol she was in a very bad way, but she had been well looked after by Shona, Orla ,Silvia and Brendan ..the paramedic was already there having ran down Benchcut behind Silvia..
They gave Carol a dose of something and her head nearly fell off but inch by inch we walked her off benchcut..jesus that was the slowest grimest shuffle ever..
So we got back to the Pug and me, Carol the two Ambulance men and the Paramedic drove back through the jungle and up the fireroad ..they took her to Vincents where Shona held her hand until I had Sophie sorted and then I took over..
She never shed a tear the whole time..
I would just like to thank Shona, Silvia, OrlaMc, Brendan and Dave O Shea for looking after her..they were brilliant and folks, if you are ever in trouble, Brendan O Ruanaidh is the man to have on your phone !!
I cannot believe that I had to drive to Djouce to rescue my wife !!
Fair play to the Girls..they did an excellent job taking care of her and she really appreciated it

Jesus poor Carol, that sounds like an awful ordeal. Well done everyone for looking after her. Hope you recover quickly Carol.
Yet again though it highlights the problem of ambulances not being able to get into the forests and the need for keys to the barriers to be more accessible!!
thanks John , the worst part was Vincents hospital...even though the Staff were brilliant and we were only in there for about 3 Hours..it was like a clean 3rd World Country with poor unfortunates on trolleys all over the place..you would want to be some person to work as a Doctor or a Nurse in there !!!
Shes grand , she had no trouble getting up this morning making my breakfast, putting out the bins and bringing the dogs for a walk !
I'm fierce tired now after all the excitement !!
She'll be delighted you asked for her..i'm only squeamish when it comes to her and Sophie !!

Glad to hear Carol is well after all that ! Sounds like it was a grim experience for all involved , Well done to all for keeping your heads and looking after her.

i've never been to a real A&E but it's the TINIEST thing i've ever seen, don't know how they do anything...
