1/10.2009 I bought myself bicycle from CycleWays worth 1100euro - is really expensive bike. One month before was a problem with suspension fork on that bike
and I live my bike for fix in the same shop. They set I have wait 2 weeks for fix. Now is it 4 weeks and I'm still without my bike.
Can U tell me, how long time I can live there my stuff and if it is normal waiting for fix more then 4 weeks.
In my country ( Czech republic is in European Unit also) is normal after one month after starting fixing ask for new product or money back.

Adam..i'm only answering out of courtesy as I have no real answer for you. Thats a disgraceful way to be treated whether you are from the Czech republic or not !
I'm no expert on this but you should look at the small claims court or whoever looks after the Consumer in Ireland..
You'd have to look at the warranty you got with the bike but check out the citizens advice service.
Like I say I'm not an expert but I felt for you posting here with your problem..there is nothing as bad as being without your bike..some bikeshops understand this..but they are few and far between..fuc ks sake folks, if you wont offer this poor guy advice on a simple thing like this, i'd hate to be lying on the side of the road hoping for a good samaritan !!

This happened to me before but in a different place and in slightly different circumstances.
Left my bike in for a service expecting it back the next day maybe 2.
A week later i decide to call into the shop and its lying in the same place as i dropped it off.
So i just took the bike out of there and never went back.
The only problem for you is that they are obliged to fix your since its still under warrenty.
Have you called into them at all?
If it was me i would just keep annoying them untill they did something or i got answers.

I knew where was a problem, but bike is under warranty and I didn't fix them myself. There was just problem with o-ring - max. 2 hours work. All pats, tunning and services I purchased all the time just over there. This is really **** and I'm very disappointed. Monday I have to go there and calling for supervisor or manager shop, just cross fingers to me.
I bought a bike from a shop Jan this year,( very well known to this site ) you get your free service when u buy a new bike, they didn't want to no when u bring them back with minor problems and make u feel like u are hassleing them! the trick is to never buy anything from them again.
What type of fork is it? I reckon that is where the problem lies. The only warranty centre here is OC for fox. Possibly MBW for rockshox. everything else would have to be returned to "the mainland". While there are people who can fix them, they cannot do it under warranty.
I am waiting 3 weeks so far for a seal kit for avid elixir brakes.... no idea when they will land. cant get an answer either....
I had a warranty issue with a stumjumper from McConvey's in Belfast, they swapped out the frame straight away, for a better frame, no questions. I had a problem with a fox rear shock and James at OC Tuning swapped it twice, no questions, problem sorted. This is the way it shoud be................no bike for weeks? What are they thinking, the competition should be eating them alive...........
I don't like saying it but my guess is that if you were Irish you wouldn't have to put up with that nonsence! Insist that they lend you a replacement bike at the very least!
