Best place to mtb on your own?

Whats the best place to go for a good spin for a couple of hours on your own?? As much as going for a spin on your own is ok its just not the same as when your with a few others, but if its that or nothing where is best?
What I mean is where do you reckon is the best plcae to go for a spin for a hour or two to get a good amount of single track and some steep climbs.
For example tomorrow I am going to go out on the bike in the afternoon as I cant get out untill then but want a good hard spin but dont want to get in the way of too many Sunday walkers etc. I live near 3 rock but can really go anywhere so am open to suggestions?
I know the proper club spins are the best bet as there are very well run with a proper spin leader but if you cant make it is it cool to post looking for others to go on an unoffical spin with you?
If so does anyone fancy a spin tomorrow? If not any suggestions where to go on you own would be great.

Hi Gar....Yeah this came up a while ago, as far as I know it's cool to organize spins with people on here, haven't been to 3 rock but heard it's great, I think djouce is one of the best places to go to as there's so many trails but if you're on your own and don't know them, you'll have trouble finding your way around, same with most other places, if you're alone bring a phone and don't do anything too risky, popular places like djouce and ballinastoe will probably have a few people there tomorrow afternoon that you can follow, I'll be going around Kindlestown and the Glen of the Downs tomorrow if you want to tag along with me we can arrange to meet up....Jay

....You probably know that much anyway, you could be lying on a trail for ages if you have an accident on your own, as regards where's best... it's much of a muchness, Kindlestown is best for me because it's close by, not because the trails are amazing, but if you want to head around there with me for an hour or two, PM me or reply to this thread, I'm 99% sure I'm going there at some stage tomorrow anyway, no set time.

Hi, maybe Ballinastoe or similar, where there are lots of others around. Alternatively, do a largely on-road route.
But ultimately you're still responsible for your own safety.
Me - I find I've a different riding style when off-road on my own, i.e. Fierce Careful.
