Ballyhoura Weekend holy ....!!

well we're just back..it was the best biking weekend ever so many video captured shenannigans..its going to take a week to write the blog and get the videos up !!
Highlights include, a new Committee Elected, Alfie dancing with Gerry, The Culchie singing " Delilah " in the Pub and I'm not going to mention my stricken personage being abused by Damo and Alfie.
And John Doris could eat for Ireland !!

So you think you know how to ride hard and enjoy a few drinks. Well only EPIC elite riders can savage a 55k loop in under 3 hours, drink themselves to a standstill, organise a karaoke in a country pub, then get up again and rip the trails apart again.

Things went downhill after the AGM when the lads tied the outgoing Chairman to the Death slide


then we got the club number 1 rider into his micky growing machine and set him off



so we got Gerry to give Alfie a few tips about death sliding



the new Club Secretary looks great


then the Ex Chairman started his training talk


some eating

A big thanks to Brian O Neill for organising the weekend. and to him and Roo for the Carbonara on Friday and Brian Deasy for the Chilli last night.
way too many funny moments to be healthy.
the new Club Secretary will put up the minutes later but its all good..
Later skaters...I can't believe Smithers went to France for a race..
Hats off to both Harri and The Culchie for sticking with team Elite ( well some ) Epic..
These weekends away are brilliant..and to be honest, it beat Scotland and Wales hands down for the craic ..
I'm still President because that flute Lynchy went to France instead of spending his money in ireland..there you go, EPIC, drinking and eating its way out of the recession

Pity the battery died during Delila - he was just getting going, the culchie really surprised us with that one ! great weekend, haven't been that locked in a long time. Great crack everywhere.

one of the best things I heard all weekend was when I put Harri and The Culchie in the middle of the pain train today and after about 10 minutes tearing up a hill Harri goes
" holy ****, i've never gone this fast downhill !!!"
and failing to get Max to sing the Polish national Anthem was a bitter disappointment ! But getting the X Factor up on the TV in the Pub and hooking all the lads was a major personal triumph !!

then of course there was the Siege..
Every year Bon and Roo have to prevent me and Alfie from getting at them in their beds during the night !!
this year BOn cleverly booked two houses..I seperated us knowing it would be more of a challenge for me and Alfie..
So Friday night we failed to gain access to the Grownups but last night they locked the Culchie out and took Luke in..
we were having none of that..so after repeated banging and ringing the doorbell, the Culchie being a sparks decided to rig the bell up to continually go off..
a waste of feckin time, till I wedged a stick against the button !!
we fecked off back to the party zone, tried on all Lukes boxers and his toothbrush and left the bell ringing !!
in the meantime we failed to get maxs Polo on its roof and set off Harri's Car alarm !! But hey it was funny looking at Andrew crashed out with only a babys blanket covering him !!

Oh I had a revelation today, Bon and Roo are like a two person version of Ferris Bueller!

that was a brilliant weekend! Holy sh1t i'm tired now. the train of pain was truly insane, the speed of it was lung collapsing! How did I survive! Passing 'goobers' by as if they weren't there on the trails was funny - some of them looked terrified!

Some fun! my brain is empty now! I need some protein injections to get my beef-cake-ness up a level. The things I've seen . . . wow. . .

What a great bunch of nutters to spend a weekend with! The 2 house thing was the job one being the chill out zone and the other being the 'My parents are away lets go flippin' nuts' house. thanks for the foot prints all over the car - I'll cherish them always. Ahhhh good times

Fun & games baby... insanity even at the best of times... if we broke John Dorris it should give you a good idea of the shenanigans going on...!

Really really impressed with Ballyhoura... excellent facilities.. secure car parking, coffee shop, loads of bikes to rent, workshop etc etc...

Having heard / read mixed reports about the place I just can't believe how fast & fun it is.. It p!sses all over Ballinastoe in terms of sheer enjoyment.. some nice jumpy bits and parts which I can only liken to a mini pump track... just deadly..!!

Great set up down there... car park full both days and loads of riders out from all parts of the country..

Fuppin' great weekend... and with a great (some insane) bunch of people...

What a weekend, a barrel of laughs from start to finish. From the state of Alfie and Richie on Saturday morning to the ass bustingly long spin(I feel like I was raped by a drunk/blind bull), to the unbeliveable craic in the pub Saturday night. The Wallace lad on the pull after the only acceptable woman for 50 miles, Andrew and Ronad......the state of ye, ha ha! Can't believe I'm not fcuker today after two mental spins spaced by a wild night of drunken debauchery! When is the next one?

Ye a big thanks to the lads for a great weekend.. that was some crack in the pub all right and the biking was great also .... just a deadly weekend all round ... And a big thanks to Andrew for the lift...

yeah great weekend alright. thanks to the lads for organizing the houses. It's a great spot and so close to the trail head and pub. "noodles" didn't look to happy when we walked in she was hoping for a quiet night! savage spins the "mini pump track" was great, i'll look forward to the next one. 2hrs 15mins door to door.
