Well we had a fantastic turnout for the EPIC XC Club Champs, considering the Weather..
Irelands number 1 rider of all time Mr Robin Seymour won the overall event with John Doris in 2nd , which makes him EPIC Club Champ 2010 !! and Max in 3rd with Alfie 4th overall..
Don won Experts with Killian in 2nd place, i'm not sure who was 3rd in Experts, one of the Mulveys I think !
Orla McClean is ladies Champ with Carol in 2nd..I can only say that it was a disgracefull low turnout from the ladies in the Club.
Great to see Davem and Karl Thomas in action and a big thanks to the Supporters,
Ror Walsh, Jack, Shona , Luke and Sophie.
There was savage racing all round and a special thanks to Bob Seymour from Team-Worc and Oisin Boydell from MAD for racing and getting stuck in.
Great craic in the pub afterwards with the usual Banter and slagging..and nice to see Victor Lucas home for a while..
I'm personally delighted to see John Doris win the Champs, he deserves it !!
There were a lot of so called racers missing today, which is a pity as i know both Oscar and Ross would have loved to give it socks but couldn't make it..next year lads !!
Congrats to JD and Don, two worthy winners! Great turn out on a "damp" day. Close racing throughout - or at least there was down my end of the field! The big bike was hard work on the climbs but I was very grateful for it on Toro and GC. Many thanks to everybody who helped with marshalling and timing.
Great to see Shona hopefully we'll see you back on your bike soon!
Well done Robin and John, brilliant results in very tricky conditions. Great to see everyone giving it socks, safe to say no-one was in their comfort zone. I'm kind of shocked at that result, not having really turned a wheel in anger in the shlomp for some time. No doubt the road miles made a big difference and while other bits of me were failing (back and wrist) the legs just kept on spinning.
I have to say the prospect of racing today wasn't very appealing this morning but once the adrenaline kicked in I was in the zone again. I had a great race with Andrew (1st lap) and Alfie (2nd lap and sprint finish). Good to see so many people giving it socks but there were definitely a few faces missing today, Adamski, Oscar, Rossco, Micky...

great racing throughout,i blew my lights trying to stay with doris and fair play to max he reeled me in right on the line savage day out on the bike,fair play to everyone who showed up nice to see robin out although he was only toying with us.
Really enjoyed that, especially first lap with Max and Oisin, 2nd lap Max dropped me and I had feeling I was far enough ahead of Oisin so I just plugged around. Thanks to Luke, Rory, Jack, Richie, Sophie and Shona for volunteering - not a nice day to be standing around. Well done to John and nice to see Robin out pushing him
great result there for Richard Lynch by the way ! Holy jeebus the bit after Toro down to the fireroad was mental !! and Don in the lycra..A 1 Sharon ride of a man !! I'll tell you another thing..Orla mc is brilliant on the descents..in fact probably the best lady descender I've ever seen !!
Great event again run by Epic, I was ahead of Robin up to the start of the climb up to XTC hahaahahahaa then I let him go. I had a good race loving all the rooty,sliddery decents with out dabbing. I couldnt close down Rony but I knew I was ahead of Phil and Ger so just kept pushing.

Really enjoyed that. Didn't have a race bike, so used the Yeti. Jeeesus does it ride well for a 6" bike.... I gave everything trying to stick with The flying Dutchman, but he was too fast. Was able to reel him in of the decents, but all in vein.
Well done to JD. Don was a banger, so should have raced with the grown ups. Look at him, in his fancy pants, and his lightweight race bike.....
And of course, thanks to the timers....
that was brilliant fun, had a great time, punctures ruined it for me! ha ha - so much mud it clogged the new tubes valve and the pump! tubeless is the only show in town! great fun great time! Thanks to all who helped including Karl, Jack, Luke, Shona, and all the club people for making this possible! Great fun indeed.
