Yes, Alan's race in virginia is a little cracker, Really enjoyed that race last year and worth going to, I gotta work that day and most of the other dates, So not much cyclocross for me this year by the look of it.. Its just not fair! .

I have to say I'm fond of Mr Clogher too!

Thanks Mr Byrne for the compliments. I am indeed a hobbit but I have accepted the fact. It easier to look now at myself in the mirror. Its at floor level so that helps.
Anyhows come to the cross race on 30th of november. Its a fun event ran around the parkland of a hotel, loads of steps, banked corners, vegetable garden single track, sketchy off camber and sweat, mud and tears.

The cross racing is very hard but good craic as the racing is close. The cross bikes are a lot faster and the cornering speed on one is savage so ideally its better to race on one but you can race a mtb its just a little harder.

There are loads this year and I think that imbrc and worc are running one too so really they should all be supported if possible. I know its hard to justify an hours racing on your sunday when you could be out in the hills on your mtb but it could also be an opportunity to bring the family out for some fresh air and having your own fan club with you helps with the race pain.

Hopefully see you all at the races and remember VIRGINIA CO CAVAN 30 NOV.
Its only an hour and a half down the road.

alright Alan, we will be there of course..and if the WORCies and the IMBRCds run one we'll be there as well..I'll be at the Nationals in Lurgan and the one on Rostrevor as well..
you of coure are more than welcome at the old club XC champs on Sunday up at the leadmines..kick off 10.00am..

Strongly thinking of going to Virginia and not riding a bike, but standing at the side of the trail bating two saucepans together and screaming abuse at people. It looked like fun at Whitehorse anyway.

And judging by the Happy Fairy's well-honed skill at running with the bike, he could be one to watch out for in this year's CX series. ;-)
