Had a very short pass for this weekend so went up to Ballinastoe for a quick loop on sunday. The place is in a right jock, which must come as a right shock to all the goobers but I feckin loved it, trails washed away, big holes, boulders strewn all over the place, greasy off camber rocks, rivers running down trails. I hope they sort it out but until they do it provides great entertainment, just leave your hardtails at home. The fast bit is in great shape though, I believe trail fairies have been quietly doing some fixing up there.

Its's extremely popular, both days the "car park" was full...
Appears the bikers that go there have a good level of fitness on the fireroad but when faced with wet roots and rocks on the (not very)technical parts then the speed drops right off...
that was'nt you on the red full sus was it?

Interesting Terry, but which is lighter, anodised or painted? I know that mud is less likely to stick to paint, something to do with micro surface porosity.
