hey been searchin crc for a pair of decent gloves for low budget (under â¬20!) and im a bit spoilt for choice, i have no idea which ones got a good rep or which ones to avoid, any advice?
i picked up sixsixone glove on ebay for less than 20 have used them a few times and seem pretty good , only thing i can say is they cover very little of the wrist,
gloves are a funny old thing..its more important that they fit and in this country that they don't hold a load of water.
I'd be inclined to go cheap and cheerful and thin and only go out for a couple of hours in Winter..
experiment with different things..I have found that when stuck a pair of cheap fibrepile inner gloves work great..
i've tried fancy winter gloves and they haven't worked, but Lidl jobs have !

they are deadly though..see if Richie Thornhill has them in Southern Extreme or Robert in Rothar..they are Oakley Automatic Gloves..like I say, i've tried hundreds of gloves..I got a pair of alturas of Al in the Bike rack that i use on the road ..they are a bit loose now and they are Blue Neoprene..great for the winter..
The thing about MX style gloves is they are tight and don't go floppy, but having a snot wipe on the thumb is a gift.
I have Altura ones that do the same but too thin and delicate for the Winter.
the troy lee air kinda suck particularly for winter. Im a big fan of troy lee xc gloves. I left my gloves at home on sunday and had to use a pair of the troy lee airs that someone else was kind enough to leave in my car. I found the fit on them to be very loose and they had no properties what so ever that would keep ur hands warm. Infact id say they did the opposite
Buying gloves (like shoes) online is very hit and miss. I'd go to your LBS and try some on. It is important than they are not too tight, especially at the fingertip, you want a small pocket of air there.

True.. esp. sizes, usually like Spd shoes you would go a size up in my expierience...but usually places like Crc have a good returns policy..
