Hopefully XC..after all thats how it all started here, regardless of what idiots on IrishDH might think. Remember, nobody predates me in Ireland. I've seen it all and even though theres loads out there that think they were the first ones to think of stuff, they'd be wrong .
We had National MTB Champs long before there was a split between the 2 Disiplines and if memory Serves the first Irish National DH champ was a Cross Country rider. Either Gordon Byrnes or Paul Gilsensan and it was in Ballinastoe.
It was either of those pair.
I think it was Paul and Gordon was 2nd and theres a video of Robin somewhere coming 4th at a downhill nationals in Ravensdale on an XC bike..
