story lads looking for any info that might cheer me up had a brunelli procedure done on my wrist 1st of october and had a cast on for 6wks. going to fisio now but feel like il never get its strenth of flexabillity back so i can bait down the bone shaker again starting to wee me off now.......... so im just wondering has any one had this procedure done before and how long did it take before they were aloud back into heaven
Brunelli Procudure for Rotary Subluxation
i may have but I was off my box on Lebanese Mushrooms at the time and to be honest, man , woman or beastie or a ladyboy with wandering eyes and teeth that wouldn't stay still , i wouldn't have known what the procedure was .
Never had that done but if this help, 16 years ago i snapped my radius right at the joint of my wrist, my hand dropped 45 degrees and in doing that it dislocated the ulna, it goes without saying that i had to have an operation.
They put a plate (T-shaped) in at the joint with 4 screws and re-set the ulna joint, i was in plaster (mostly a back plate plaster) for 6 months, not so much for the break but the dislocation, it took a futher 6 months of physio to get any real movment back in the wrist, I still don't have full movment but it's good enough.
One thing i wouldn't do is try and do things too early, let it heal properly cause you will only drag things out even longer ( i know cause i dislocated my finger early this year, i raced DH the week after and now i'm paying for it, thing is still fooked and still getting physio)
I guess the thing i'm trying to say is that, although you are pissed off now because of the problem, don't go rushing into anything, it will all come good (or as good as could be) and you'll soon be flying down the Bone Shaker in now time.
Chin up you will get there in the end.
