Right, until yesterday I hadn't been there in feckin ages and I kept getting lost, so can someone point me the right way....
So, if I've come up from Jonny Fox's, past golf course, up the single track bit, onto fire road, along fire road, turn right onto MX (?) previously this went along by the trees then turned right into the trees and made its way down to the end of a fire road, however, I noticed another track heading straight on, so you're on MX, it goes right, this goes straight on..... where does it go ?
Question 2, I'm on MX, I've gone right, into forest, bumpiddy bump, big splash through hole, onto fire road, follow, reach clearing, barrier on right hand side, trail coming out of trees behind me on left, trail entering trees in front on right, trail going striaght on in front of me (that I can't see from here because its behind a bank), the one in front brings me to the fireroad that goes to the masts, it's the rocky one, but the other 2 ?
Question 3, Going from 2 rock back towards Jonny Fox's, there's the lumpy one that follows the fence, with the holes of death but apparently there's a track in the trees going the same direction, where do you get into this....
Actually.... a map, that's what I need, I'm sure Fergal has one....
The place is overrun though isn't it, horses, walkers, goobers, kids, bro's and their bro ho's

Coillte are in the middle of finishing their last section, which might be wrecking one or two of our current sections, so no point in sending you directions to a schlomp pit, we'll see what the craic is once they are finished
I could try describe the trails meantime but I'd be here forever, I will have Garmin-ised most of the hill pretty soon Colin so I'll be sure to give you a nod and a wink and fire on some maps to you, but only because you are a digging God

It brings you to Rock n Roll. The new straight bit was built for the MAD NPS, as you can see the older trail to the right is poxed.

The one to the left brings you down from the new MX addition (nice climb if you go up it). The one to the right is the old DH track (i think) the brings you all the way down to the bottom where the "Trunk of Terror" used to be. Nice trail but a steep fireroad climb to get back up, also, lots of ways to get down it as there's tons of lines on it.

I reckon its nearly as good as djouce Colin...lots to keep you interested...climbs, decents, techie stuff its all there...but its is shared among many...
I reckon cycling is on its way to be our new national sport...i must have seen 50000000 cyclist yesterday between 9.30 and 14.00...dont mind gaa get on that bike...

Hey I like the middle section of the Coilte trail, the fast bit where it gets busy. One or two of the berms are missing an end and one or two of the berms are just plain missing... but overall it's a really nice bit of track.
Is 3 rock as a good as Djouce.... nearly... maybe.... actually, yeah it is, but very different.

Niall Davis helped Coillte snag that trail recently (you may have seen spray marks all over the place) so the flat turns and truncated berms etc.. should all get sorted out once the second section is built
its like grafton street of a Sunday on a Sunday..but its fabulous to the nth degree on a warm Summer evening when the goobers are at home playing tummy stcks with themselves !!
Just turn up on Spins ya big goon. You have all these friends who miss you, keep on going âwhere is Colin?, we really miss him. Does he not like us anymore of something?â, then they read this and think âare we so bad that heâs looking for a map, then they weep, then they get angry and think feck him anyway, big odd sizes loaner, leave him to his maps and secret track projects and his dogs and gymnasts and his big bobbidy bobbidy head. The one to the right is the old DH track (i think) the brings you all the way down to the bottom where the "Trunk of Terror" used to be. Nice trail but a steep fireroad climb to get back up, also, lots of ways to get down it as there's tons of lines on it.
We do this trail after Rock and rolla on a tuesday. All the way down to the bottom, to the big bowl and then all the way up the fire road, through the forest, the rocky climb and up t -connector. Why don't you come tomorrow night. It's myself, the other colm, andrew, somethimes hairoil and rusty.
Steady but on big bikes for the added pain up and the fun down!
