Beginner/Intermediate spin: Kindlestown on Sundays

Beginner/Intermediate level spin: Leaving Kindlestown carpark every Sunday at 12 O'Clock....I know mass is on at the same time, but if you've nothing better to do, turn up, bring your ma, bring your dog, bring your hangover if you have one....don't forget your wheels.

Would suit people who don't know their way around, don't like biking on their own, aren't quick enough to keep up with the pace of the other club spins, or just can't make it out to the earlier spins.

Slower riders will be waited on here and there so nobody will get lost or left behind, fire ahead at your own pace and we'll stay together fine, the distance and trails will be suitable for just about anybody and we'll never be too far from the cars, these spins are open to non-members but they must join the club and join Cycling Ireland through EPIC after three spins if they wish to continue attending these or other club spins.

You'll need a bike in good working order and a helmet is essential, bring the usual stuff and wear suitable clothing for whatever weather conditions were having at the time, we'll be out and about for around two hours.

Usual stuff: Spare Tube (or Two), Pump, Bottle or Camelback, Bar or Snack, Multitool, Tyre levers, PowerLink, Mobile Phone.

If you haven't got a car, it's about a 30 minute cycle from Greystones Dart station.

I'm planning on being up there most weeks at midday but it's not set in stone, I'll reply to this thread if I'm gonna be up there instead of making new threads every other week.....note that it may just be myself up there some weeks.
cool, can't make the epicDH easy spin on saturday, so will do this instead! see you then
Weather may not be great, but yeah I'll be there this Sunday at 12 O'Clock....20/02/11
Yeah I'll be up there this Sunday, 6/3/11...I'll be there a few minutes before 12 if anybody wants to tag along.
New bike

I don't have an MTB at the moment, used to have a hardtail and enjoyed a few spins with Epic, but want to get back into it. What type of bike do you recommend for someone who's pretty much a beginner and just wants to do a bit of everything? Kona Stinky / Specialized Pitch maybe?
Do NOT get a kona stinky as a do it all bike.. In fact don't get one for any kind of riding! Get a nice 120/130mm full suss.

Hi Walshyy, no I was running late but got there about two minutes past 12, cycled up so ready to go straight away, hung around for a minute or two but didn't see anybody looking to head off, there was three other guys leaving at the time....met John Damage about 20 minutes later up near the masts, sorry lad.
