Fair play to the Epic savages who showed up at the Paddy Martin Randonee yesterday. Weather was shlte and cold but a good turn out of almost 200 riders honoured the late Bray Wheelers legend that was Paddy Martin.

Stevo epitimized the Epic way by refusing to use softboy, roadie shoe covers despite the rain and cold and instead stretching his old skanger adidas communion socks over his shoes and cutting a hole for the cleats!

Ah jaysus Richie, i thought you knew everything there was to know about cycling - across all disciplines, no stone left unturned, no mountain high enough! !

Its an 80mile route around the wicklow mountains on the road - some lads race it like there is no tomorrow and some lads potter around the route. Everyone pays a fee quid for a charity and they all get tea and buns enroute and back at the clubhouse.

Myself, Vinny and a few from wicklow tri went around the loop together, the hills were a doddle after climbing up Maulin last week!

He's turned into a big, fat lump from sitting on his ass all the time! He said he's getting the cast off today so hopefully it's all ok.

did half hour on the turbo trainer no probs, fookin great to have the cast off! I will be flyin in no time.
