Some Savage results for young Irish lads:
Starting off we had out three young lads competing in the Under 14 race. Our riders dominated it to be honest.
Ben Kennedy 1st U14
Luke Cornforth 2nd U14
Jacob ****son 4th u14
Its also worth noting that Benâs result is the first win we have had in a British DH Series since Jamie Popham and Ben Reid were Juniors.
The Under 16âs race is a very competitive category. There is a large field and some very talented well known young lads in it. We only had one rider Cameron Cornforth who came 4th. Again this is an outstanding result in a very competitive category.
The Junior category is really the one to watch. The top UK Junior are the top Juniors in the world. They have produced more Junior world champions than I can count. We had two lads competing, both first year juniors.
Dan Sheridan came 3rd and Christopher McGlinchey got 2nd. These really are outstanding results for two first year juniors. They were both very close to the lad who won. Interestingly the Junior tipped to win the worlds this year came forth behind our two lads. He was supposed to have had some sort of an issue, but there you go.
Greg Callaghan came 17th in Elites. That is a very good result. There were a couple of pro teams at this thing and the standard of these Elite races is higher than just about anything outside a world cup. The field was loaded with the big names, and some of them ended up with numbers higher than 17 beside them.
All in all some deadly results.
