It must feel like riding one of those alien crop circles!

That will make for deadly racing though!! Dont understand it myself that a world event cant use a mountain, for a mountain bike race!!!

Maybe because they don't have one in or near London?

i assume there was some politics or brown envelopes involved in the choice of venue , a farm on the road to southend when bracknell and epping forests are a lot closer and more appropriate locations,north and south downs would have more climbs and not too far off either,these are where the local tribe ride. viewers in killarney note the stage of construction the track is at more than 12 months before the event !!

was that a computer game ?

I'm going to have to distract everyone I know when that MTB is on in the Olympics. I can't have anyone that's what mouintainbiking is :confused:

Lads , its Cross Country racing..its not the same as Mountainbiking. Embrace it, it looks like great craic !
Trust me , when I started Mountainbiking in this country all those years ago the thoughts of using a helmet would have been hilarious.

looks lie it will be good for spectators,you could pretty much stand in the middle and see most of the course.loads of wheel to wheel action.the course does look disapointingly tame,but then that will suit the uk riders me thinks

Sometimes a pretty crap course is just what's needed to get the best racing. Especially for something like the Olympics that has to be TV friendly.

For example, Lady Dixon's Park! Great day out last year!
