Ballyhoura, Monday 17th November

howdy lads. Visiting some rels in Cork in a couple weeks time and I'm thinking about hitting Ballyhoura on the way home on the Monday. If anybody is about I wouldn't mind some company on the big loop. Six hours is a long time on your own....

Dont bother with longest loop,you get nearly all the singletrack on blue loop without long fireroad climb at end when your knackered.We were down there this weekend and very cold and wet bring lods layers and food.Also make sure yuv lods of life on brake pads the grit there eats them to bits.Some of us went tho new pads in the two days of riding.Temp can be very different on other side of mountain so dont get caught out.Enjoy

Dead right karlos. We rode in back in easter before it was officially opened... was way marked but no maps. we were hung over and had very little food... no idea it was gonig to be that long!! Blue sounds like a better bet.
