Dublin Blitz- 3 Rock- 8th May

The official opening event for Ireland's newest mountain bike trails is on the 8th of May on Dublin's very own 3rock. (still can't believe it!)

There is a choice of 1 lap (8km), 2 laps (16km) or 3 laps (24km) starting at 12. Races for U8 to U16 in the morning. I'm making an effort to have kick ass kids loops so it will be great fun. It only costs €20, biking.ie cover the licence costs if you don't have one.

This is a milestone event for mountain biking in Ireland.

The official tape cutting ceremony will mark the start of the event. So let’s show how popular biking is and turn out in numbers. You must pre enter as space is limited.

PS is the course any use ?

Cool it would be great to get all the Epic Heads there.

The course is restricted to the new trail. Monster climb, flat out descent, short climb, long descent, extra loop around the carpark for spectators and kids races.

Should be good craic.

Some amount of people up there tonight as we were passing !!! Coillte should start a MTBclub and charge membership..
Where do these ridiculous notions come from !

Sounds great, going to bring the kids to this as its easily accessable and most of the spectating points are just off the tarmac and not far from carpark.

Yep hoping to do this, I'm sure you will get a good epic turnout. I'm racing with Byrne and having the craic I might even dress up like Fergal did last night haha. Nice one Niall look forward to it

If Fergal is going as Robin Hood in that get up I'm getting myself some sort of Sheriff of Nottingham outfit !

I was going to enter this myself but dont have cred card so just entered my son as its free for kids
