DH NPS in Leap..

whats the story kids..while I don't race DH anymore..I will return next year as a Supervet though !! I still follow it..IrishDH is a joke..holy Satans Knob..socky is posting on there like he a pro FFS..
I saw ian Gormleys photos of the finish field and it looked Alpine..021 seem to have gotten some abuse for it..
I hear from the top it was very poor..
thats an awful pity
Plush had trouble getting an attendance for a race and theres non stop talk about uplifts.
Am i mental in remembering the craic we used to have going to NPS after nPS and pushing our bikes up the hill and racing our socks off.
i remember Stewart Carr driving all the way to Benveneagh in Derry in one day for a race and loving it.
I miss those races..places i can't even remember the names of, but i can remember somewhere in Antrim where me, Sean, Bruce,Duggan and Gerry all finished on the same second.
happy days..
no Winter League and a seemingly long time between races..
don't get offended now..educate me..
I heard of one person who abused Plush for charging €30 for a no uplift DH race..its a while ago we were paying €25 for no uplift at NPS race..
actually it was 10 years ago.
Don't mind the kids over on Irishdh Richie somebody somewhere is always bitching about a race somewhere. So just look back over some of the XC nps threads here.
"It was too slippery" "it was too rocky" Jeez you ride what your given to race.
If your serious racer you'll Choose the right tyres and bike and get the fup on with it.
Everyone else is riding the same course in the same conditions.
I couldn't make it but I heard Leap was badly effected by the weather. It's a pity but in fairness to the lads that track wasn't to be used till well after the summer so it probably would have been ridden in a bit better.
Can't really blame them for not having it 100 per cent when it was brought forward so much and so quick.
Had i have been there I think my race strategy wouldn't have involved a lot of riding anyway. I don't see the point of practicing a track that's changing every run.
I'd do a couple of runs for memory and save all the strength for the race runs.
