I'm looking for advise on a Front light. I have a budget of â¬150 and was looking for recommendations for a good off-road light. Have been looking at the Electron Terra 2 online & was wondering anyone has used this light?
Just wondering if anyone has any views/experience of the Magicshine lights. For £130 they offer a 3 Head 1400 (???) Lumen light set with 12 month warranty. At that price they could be worth a go?
Just about everyone has an opinion on them - some good, some bad! The American distributor withdrew them from sale last year because the batteries did a good line in spontaneous combustion! Personally I'd go for something else but lots of people are happy with them!
I've a single head 900 lumen Magic Shine I use during the winter and thought it did the job - alright for the money but I wasn't super impressed. My light was by far the brightest in our group but I found the beam very wide and unfocused. That's fine for within a pack but riding by yourself you want a more focused beam.
The pouch the battery lives in unravelled on my last outing and has come lose on me a few times. Battery life itself though is very good
don't buy no steenking lights till September !! I should have an exclusive on some deadly great value lights..fully warranted and guarenteed !! 900 Lumens !!

I've been researching away & have decided to increase my budget. I'm learning toward buying lights from Ayup-lights and have my eye on the Adventure V4 set. Does anyone own a set of Ayup lights and have any first hand experience???
Richie is right, unless you're doing a 24hr race this summer, then wait til september before you buy anything. Otherwise the Hope luke recommended are meant to be good. Or this Exposure http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=54845 is a great little helmet light. I've had one for 4 years and its been perfect.

Yes, they are deadly.
I have a narrow beam for helmet use and intermediate beam for bar use. They are powerful and light. I have (ab)used mine through 3 winters and have not had an ounce of trouble. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

I have the joysitck, its a great helmet light. I have not used it for long, but the few nights rides I have done with it it worked perfectly. Had loads of battery hassles with my previous set (Sigma) but I like the fact that this is all self contained.

I know it's a bit mad looking for advice this time of year but I can only get out for a few hours on the weekend or anytime after 9.30pm week nights. Even in the summer it leaves me with little daylight hence my enquiry regarding lights.
Any other suggestions are welcome or if anyone is selling anything decent.
