is anyone planning on going to this ?

Im planning on doing the 6 hour but it's weather dependent.

I was only thinking about this last night! I'll do the 6 hour too if there's a few guys heading up!

Yep, that's it! Saturday August 6th - the 6 hour starts at 1.30pm which would be a lot less grief than a 7.30am start for the 12 Hour!

doing the pairs for the 12hrs would be the best craic I'd say, 12hrs solo would be pure misery

Yeh it would be good craic but a 7.30am start would mean an overnight stay in a tent or leaving home at 4.30am ........ at my age! You'd need the "Enduro" mindset for a solo 12 hour! The six hour will do me thanks!

Id definitely enjoy 6 hours up there but 12 hours sounds like torture

I did an enduro 12 hour a few years back in a team of 2. It was tough but brilliant fun and good team work needed to keep going for the full 12 hours. The rivalry between us and other teams to get the most laps was hilarious. Slow and steady was the key. Id love to do this - i think if loads of us did 12 hour paired teams it would be great fun. When you come in and your team mate is out you can keep track of the others. Head up the night before and camp, the craic at the BBQ the night before...

Count me in for one of them. The sadist in me is attracted to the 12hr but I'll probably go with the 6hr. I wouldn't fancy hitting the drop after 11 hours.

Did the 12 hr as a team of four last year and it was savage craic. Good atmosphere in the pits and that evening at the BBQ. Well worth packing the tent and heading down.
