EPIC-North

Now this is something i've been thinking about for ages, and i got the nod for it, so here goes..
The aim is to spread the idea around that mountainbiking is about having the craic.
And the Blast of course.
and to promote talented and passionate riders up in Ulster/Northern Ireland
and their amazing trails.

the other thing is, theres a lot of people on the Northside of Dublin who would in fact find it easier to get to the mournes than to Wicklow..
This would be an excellent opportunity for them.

this is a great idea, as a north(west)sider it'd be handy for me (and others) to head north for some new trails and meet some new crackpots - Conor's videos look too good to pass-up the opportunity
then the lads with the funny accents could come down Dublin way for a taste of southern singletrack

it could be like that stupid thing where they twin towns, but we'd be twinning trails - which is an altogether mucher more deadlier idea

what about the Sat 22nd or Sun 23rd Nov for a northern invasion?

here fergal, stop interfering with my gret ideas..it won't get you any more votes..but yeah lets head North on 29th November , it looks like IMBRC are having a CX race on the 23rd of November and I want to get the Kids involved in his support race .get an EPIC North first meeting that day...

ah feck - I only looked at the title of the post now, I thought it was a nationwide event...

but hey, this morning in the sunshine I shared a few cups of tea, ****tail sausages, and some tasty canapees with big-wig councillors, Minister Eamonn Ryan, that other much more awesome Minister, and other local dignatories up Tibradden way, so now I've got my toe in every pond, full of self-importance, and am all airs and graces - thus I expect to get invited to everything
this event up North - it'll be professionally catered for right?
I don't get out of bed for anything less than fresh salmon vol-au-vents these days

....I'm never coming back down to earth...I like it up here.....

you are an honorary member. so what does that mean..of course you can come along..and you can even bring a friend or 2..

Enough of the drivel, wheres that Brandy Pad place in the strange lads video? Can we go there? Can the lad with the homemade camera show us around, I was a small bit impressed by his riding, but really impressed by his complete lack of concern for wheather his mates were alive or dead as he was pissing past them.

At this time of year with a big crowd I'd strongly recommend NOT doing that run. It really is in the middle of the mountains and you are a long, long way from help!

There is more than enough to do round the Rostrevor area, and it's easier to get to.
