MAD are running one the following week in Tymon park..I think we should enter a team ..I have a CX bike and i'm going to do it..anybody else, i reckon I can get a loan of one..
I also have a CX frame for somebody if they want one..its basic..real basic but it would get you started..
Best of luck to Oz tomorrow, it sure as hell ain't mountain biking but I don't think the savageness required should be underestimated!

I can't understand why anyone would want to race a road bike around a field... it was fine in the 80's because there was no MTB's, but now?....
It's a bit like the single speed fetish.... people being different for the sake of it.
Mtb's are for Mt's.

you're dead right..its a fetish sport for XC racers..I'd do them for the craic if the timing suited me. Giving up a Sunday spin for one is just not going to happen. I'll give it one thing, it takes a lot of skill to do it right though and it is a savage workout. I just don't think it attracts anybody other than serious racing types.Which is not a criticism, its just an observation. When its crispy frosty its deadly. but today will be a supreme mudfest.
