Ok ,ok..due to demand I will run a Newbie Spin next saturday, meeting 10.00am at the Car park beside the Gala Shop in Sandyford , its at the junction of Blackthorn avenue and the Enniskerry Road.
Not only is it for Newbies its for lapsed members and the older Kids and their folks.
We are opening the Club for membership for 2009 and this is an opportunity to join up.
The pace will be steady. If Ballinastoe has become easy, then heres the place to go.
bear in mind that EPIC is based on technical, Hard XC riding.
If you want to participate then you will need a decent bike,
SPDS or proper Flat pedals with proper shoes are highly recommended.
Baggies with tights are our normal attire combined with Thermals .
Knee armour is recommended but not compulsory.

2 tubes
a Pump.
water
food ( like energy bars)
A helmet
Fullfinger gloves
a rain jacket, but not a fancy Goretex hillwalking yoke.
I would recommend a Camelbalk
you can put all you need into one.

...yeah that was good fun - there might have been a lot of stopping and waiting but there was a lot of laughing too - I don't think I got grumpy once!
